Welcome to MKU's webpage!

MKU is the children and youth organisation for the Swedish-speaking part of Finlands Methodist Church. We work to develop and support children and youth nationwide. We organize camps, leadership training, fun events and support local groups. Our campsite is at Jumijärvi, nearby Jämsä.

The Committee

The MKU is lead by a group of seven: Andreas Forsbäck (chairman), Maria Mörk, Jenny Jansson, Bettina Söderholm, Jennie Mörk, Jenny Rancken and Sarah Tiainen. You can contact us by mailing to mku@mku.fi.

We hope that this page in English will be a way of connecting with people who do not speak swedish but also want to get to know our great God!

Everyone is welcome to join camps and other events! Interpretetion to English or Finnish is arranged if needed.

Adolecent camp 31.7-5.8 "Hearing God"

The follow up to last years success! Relaxing and strengthning before studies or work starts again. It is definitively worth to join this camp!

Last years success, with a camp for Young Adults, age 18+ is happening again!
Come join people from many different denominations and places of the Earth to a camp where you get to Hang out with God.
The aim is to relax, play, worship, have fun, be in community, practice being with God and learn what it means to Hear from your loving Father and walk in an interactive relationship with Jesus Christ, in your everyday Life.

BRING: Yourself, a playful mind and healthy body, clothes for hiking and party, camera or other photographic equipment yet leave your computers and cellphones on hold ;)

Local meetings

Many of the local congregations have international meetings and meetings with translation to english. Some churches, atleast Åbo, Jakobstad and Kokkola, even have special international for groups.

International meeting point is an open house event every saturday night in Kokkola methodist church, Gustav Adolfsg. 6. Games, good food and a great fellowship! Welcome to join!

CAMP-information

In the summer we arrange camps for all ages; children 7-12, teenagers 13-18, adolecent 18-30 and families. The committee has started making plans for next years camp. If you are interested to join as a leader, please contact someone in the committee.
